New year, new laws. Unfortunately, the law that everyone’s been talking about (that is estimated to spawn about 400 recreational marijuana retails in Los Angeles alone) is the legalization of pot.
If you know me, you already know how I feel about this. Here are some hints: Stupid. Irresponsible. Totally not good. (If that offends some of you, that’s life.) I do not agree nor did I vote for the legalization of pot. So there.
We tackled this latest law — and how to talk to teens about what this means for them — on my recent FAB Mom segment on CBS Los Angeles. For the record, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recognizes marijuana as a physically-addictive substance that impairs one’s ability to think and function clearly. (This includes driving, folks — talk to your teens!!!!)
Was I too opinionated? Not opinionated enough? Just plain cranky? WATCH:
