Who says Bad Moms are no good? Don’t even go there. True, actress and mom-of-2 Kristen Bell isn’t intimidated to callout toddlers as having major potential to be “jerks,” but I’m going to go so far to say that’s just TV hype in the name of having a laugh (WATCH):
Yeah, we might love what Kristen said (and how frankly she said it)… but get ready to love her even more. Just like I said in the video, Kristen is a Bad Mom who does GOOD. Anyone who’s willing to open up a Hollywood date night with her husband for one lucky fan, in the name of raising money for the Los Angeles based organization Alliance of Moms (supplying parenting education for young, expecting and new moms still in the the foster care system), has a big sappy heart of gold. No matter what she thinks of toddler throwing temper tantrums in public.
Here are the stats: 75% of girls in foster care are pregnant by the age of 21. 40% of babies born to these girls will be detained in the first years of life and enter the foster care system themselves. Alliance of Moms strives to break this cycle by provided these young mothers with parenting education and resources to give them tools and support so they may raise healthy babies and also care for themselves.
