Guilt, guilt, go away. Come again… NEVER. Yeah, I’ve written about this all-encompassing wasted emotion before. (Still feel the same way.) So when Chrissy Teigen showed absolutely no guilt about going out on a date with her husband about a week after their first child was born, I thought: YES. WAY. TO. GO.
Fun fact: I too left my home — sans child — about a week after my second baby was born back in 2012 (to speak at a local school). I then left again about another week later (to check out Rosie Pope’s brand new maternity clothing line launch). It’s totally fine, it’s totally healthy, it’s totally something to not flip out over. If a mom feels good, then why not. I didn’t feel guilty back then, so I guess our similar attitudes as brand new mothers make Chrissy and I besties?
