We’re on the downhill slide to spring, folks. Quick! Who’s got antioxidants: I need energy. My little people are wearing me d-o-w-n. And don’t we need antioxidants to make our skin look fabulous in tank tops anyways?!? If I didn’t think it’d make all of you Midwesterners and East Coasters disgruntled/angry/really-ticked-off that it was around 80 degrees in Los Angeles today, I’d tell you that it was around 80 degrees in Los Angeles today and that I was wearing a tank top and pushing my girls on their swing set. While they wore tutus and tanktops. But I won’t tell you that because I’m not in the business of rubbing anything like that in. No. Way.
For the sake of *not* rubbing in how our beautiful weather is uplifting spirits around here I’m going to attribute my recent springy-steps to a few fave new finds that happen to be packed with antioxidants. These aren’t your typical health foods. Actually, they’re not health foods at all… but damn they’ve got good stuff in ’em. Which makes them healthy, of course. OF COURSE. Maybe these fabulous products will boost all those good chemicals in the brain that antioxidant-type foods do, and fool your mind and body into thinking that it’s sunny and warm where you live too? (Ah yes… the sun’s not really shining… I just have so many vitamins in my system that it’s fooling me into feeling like it’s really spring. Yes. That’s it.) My fave finds of late:
DARK CHOCOLATE BARS BY MIGNON CHOCOLATES. 56% dark chocolate paired with dried berries, pistachio & sesame or just sprinkled with a coarse Himalayan sea salt. Remember: Calories don’t count if there are legitimate vitamins involved. And it looks homemade…
EPPA SANGRIA. I’ve got the queen of fab-finds to thank for this: Romy of Romy Raves. (Girl knows how make happier hours… as she hosted a gorgeous, swanky event holiday-time for us bloggers to unveil this most fab find.) Because to wash down all those chocolate-dipped antioxidants you need… WINE. Eppa SupraFruta Sangria, to be exact: This beauty boasts nearly twice the antioxidants of red wine, thanks to real, organic fruit juices and premium varietal wine that’s blended together so perfectly… it tastes pretty darn close to the kind I make at home (the few times I’ve actually made sangria). Eppa’s basically delicious wine with more antioxidants. (And SupraFruta means “super fruit,” ya know? I can’t make this stuff up, people…)
KLEANSPA BODY BUTTERS. Butter you’re gonna want to smear all over yourself, that is. (There’s a visual.) My after-shower fix these days revolves around KleanSpa’s Whipped Coconut Body Butter and it makes me smell like candy. CANDY ON VACATION. (Trust me I’ve been tempted to lick my hands it smells that good. But I haven’t.) The butter is ultra-thick and includes 27% ultra-refined shea butter from Africa. (Natural stuff here.) Not to mention it absorbs really fast and leaves everything all soft and silky… it’s different than other butters I’ve experienced… unique, like it’s also homemade. (Again, thanks Romy).
How’s that for sneaking in antioxidants and tank top prep? Now does the sun seem brighter to you?
DISCLAIMER: I was graciously provided with complimentary samples of the products listed above, with absolutely no agreement or obligation that I might post about said products on this site. I’m posting about these products simply because I’m honestly and authentically enjoying them in the name of feeling fabulous after having babies… and think you might too. And that’s what this living lifestyle experiment of a blog is all about.

By the way, how is that the weekend was so beautiful, but today is gloomy and chilly? How am I supposed to dress my kids for this craziness?!
Jill Simonian says
Seriously Jacqui! THIS is why we’re all battling colds the last few weeks… our bodies don’t know how to handle bipolar weather!
