“L” is for the way you look at me. “O” is for the very one I see. “V” is very, very extraordinary. “E” is even more than anyone that you adore… I know you know this one. I actually performed this classic with a live band to my husband at our wedding reception. I sang my little champagne-buzzed heart out. (Now you know.) Looking back I can’t gauge if it was absolutely adorable or ridiculously and laughably naive. Oh well. We were two carefree people in LOVE. And then we became parents. What happens to love after having a baby? Or two babies? Or more? I think we all have a pretty good idea…
Hubs and I’ve been married 5-and-a-half years (LadyP is 4-and-a-half, so yeah, we barely made it for that one). Is our love still kickin’? Yes. (At least I think so…) I try to kick as hard as I can every now and again (just like most married couples) and so far I think the tactics are working as much as they can work with two kiddos under the age of 4. (I mean, wine works for everyone too, but sometimes you gotta think outside the box. Yes, I’m talking about that box of wine.) Thanks to Kids in the House‘s stealth questioning about keeping romance alive, I thought to share these most absolutely *brilliant and never-before-heard things* (wink wink) I do to keep my relationship with my husband connected in the name of L-O-V-E… which most usually leads to…. OOOOHHHHH JUICY STUFF HERE FOLKS… (Ha. I’m flirting with you.)
Keeping the fire lit requires that you try new things… So try. (Even if it’s all PG-13. You get points for effort.) Watch:
