Bold prints. Comfy design. Moderately priced. Fabulous message.
Let me tell you: I love me some Target and Nordstrom (like you all who visit this site don’t already know that) but Mixed Up Clothing for girls and boys is what’s happening on so many new levels I barely even know where to start. So I’ll just start with this:
I’ll also offer this:
Founded in 2010 by Sonia Kang (a former nurse and mom-of-FOUR!), Mixed Up Clothing is an ethnic-inspired baby/children’s clothing line that celebrates diversity through the textiles, cultures and people of the world to develop friendships through fabrics.
I can tell you firsthand: I’m LOVING the quality of the pieces we’ve got here. They’re sturdy, lightweight and functional for children’s wild and wacky behavior, yet thoughtfully and delicately designed… these particular pieces are embroidered, people. I feel like our pieces are SPECIAL. I feel like they’re handmade one by one. (I also feel like I need similar designs in MY size! The designs are super-stylin’ and more on-trend with colors and prints we’re seeing more and more of this season for women.) For what it’s worth, both my girls each screamed at me when it was time to take these off for dinner (Hey! I didn’t want them to get ruined with spaghetti sauce!!)
Toddler dresses range between $24-48. Mixed Up also offers shirts, pants, shorts, leggings, suspenders, vests… even bow-ties for little boys. Adorable and perfectly-priced for a nice gift. Check out Mixed Up Clothing online for more designs, details and where-to-buy. And have faith that the founder (Sonia, the former nurse and mom-of-FOUR) is as nice and sweet and spicy and smart as you’d hope her to be! Yes, I’ve met her (a few times) so I know. Which makes things even more fabulous.
Follow Mixed Up Clothing on Twitter, Instagram and give ’em a Like on Facebook too!
DISCLOSURE: TheFabMom was generously gifted two toddler dresses (pictured above), with no requests or agreement to post on this site. This feature was posted purely because of my newfound love and appreciation for the creativity and quality of Mixed Up Clothing.
