Well, actually the book Daddy Doin’ Work: Empowering Mothers to Evolve Fatherhood drops September 2nd, 2014 (wait, do books ‘drop?’ is it albums that drop? I think I’m flashing back to my entertainment reporting days… whoops)… regardless, we can all GET EXCITED because here’s the cover, folks. Dun, dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-DUUUUUUUUUHN (that’s a fanfare):

As someone who Carson Daly thanked live on the TODAY Show for “Setting the bar so high… Now when we can’t do something, our wives will go, well Doyin does it!”, Doyin Richards (pronounced “doe-ween”) is simply a cool and secure dad who broke the internet with one single picture of what a lot of moms do every day. He’s a father, husband, writer, Daddy Consultant, and public speaker inspiring new mothers and fathers to think, laugh, and learn while evolving as parents and couples. He authors the popular and well-respected parenting blog Daddy Doin’ Work, and since creating the blog in June 2012, it has rapidly grown in readership with no signs of slowing down. Doyin has appeared on national and international television several times, and is a regular contributor to Huffington Post. He lives here in Los Angeles with his wife and two young daughters (yay 2 girls! but I’m biased).
Doyin challenges the status quo of fatherhood… and anyone who has gusto to challenge any kind of status quo gets points with me. Dare I say that Doyin’s ‘fab.’ You heard it here first. As a mom who’s questioned whether I’m personally contributing to fathers taking a second seat when it comes to raising kids (in my own household), I’m excited to learn about Doyin’s thoughts when his book premieres (wait, do books premiere???? there goes that old entertainment reporting thing again…)
