Recently I had the pleasure of talking to the producers over at E! about “Hollywood Baby Bling” (meaning, all the fab stuff expecting celebrity parents do these days to prep for the arrivals of their bundles of joy). We chatted about post-baby bodies and bouncing back (a fave topic of mine) among other things… and you all can get more details when the special airs end of April.

Sure, I’m obsessed with all things Mommywood, but some celebrity parent facts that I found (to talk about on the upcoming E! Special) literally made my jaw drop. I mean, I work in the world of celebrity and this stuff was even fascinating and unbelievable to me.
Did you know this Mommywood history?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been paid approximately $17 million bucks by People Magazine, over the last several years, in exchange for the first photos for four of their children (sure, that money reportedly went to charity… but wow)…
Jennifer Garner temporarily lost her huge diamond ring push-present from Ben Affleck when their daughter Violet was born (it fell down the drain of their icemaker machine… she got it back)… whew…
Beyonce and Jay-Z’s beautiful baby girl, Blue Ivy, has reportedly received the following gifts — a $600,000 solid gold rocking horse, a $5,200 Swarovski crystal bathtub (from Kelly Rowland), a $1000 Bugaboo stroller (from Gwenyth Paltrow)… you think it ends there?

So what did I learn from the whole thing? My girls are apparently living in squalor. I mean, the most fabulously-outrageous gift I’ve ever gotten either of my girls is… um…. well…. geez. I guess I haven’t. Despite the title of this site, I tend to keep things cute and fun, yet basic and simple… Maybe I should consider changing my name to TheUNfabulousMom? (Kidding. Totally.)
