Yes, there’s a humor book – a children’s book for adults, if you will – about this geared towards parents of small kids. But I’m taking this same phrase personally.
Because, recently, I DID “go the bleep to sleep” myself. At 8pm, exactly. And I didn’t wake up until 7:45am the next morning. That’s like, almost 12 hours. ?!?!?!? I don’t know how it happened either.
Thing is, I KNEW it was the only way to set myself back to ground zero. We all have our wacked-out hours, days and weeks as busy parents. And the fact that I could think nothing else than to write THIS for my weekly Right Start blog was evidence enough how much I needed to reset myself. Research and reports about how many hours of sleep adults really need varies, but my body – and moods – leans towards the more, the better.
My fab-tip & challenge to you is to pick ONE night this week to go the bleep to sleep… immediately after you put your kids to bed.
I did… and feel fabulous. Fit. Focused. And fun again.
