Pregnant model/actress/recording-artist Amber Rose sure knows how to show everyone up. (To be perfectly blunt, I’m still trying to pinpoint some of her work.) But by now, everyone who cared about the Grammys red carpet watched how Rose fabulously made her way down the arrivals line sporting her big I’m-having-the-baby-in-a-few-weeks bump in a (reported) Donna Karan gown. Although I can’t exactly claim to share “filosophies” with Rose and her rapper fiancé (starting with their birth plan), I do give Rose major props for her evident commitment to suck it up, put on a gown, heels, fierce dangling earrings and work IT down a long red carpet as though she wasn’t even pregnant to begin with. I’m now a new FAN.
Rose told E!’s Giuliana Rancic that she felt “great” on the red carpet… and you know what? She probably did. Because everyone knows that if you look good, you feel good. I’ve always been a big believer of how we feel and what we do is up to how we choose to handle it in our head especially when we’re pregnant. It’s not shallow… it’s TRUE.
Sure, she had help getting ready (like a personal shopper and makeup artist and hair gal and bump stylist and who knows what else), but she’s still a person. She’s still 10 months pregnant. Who’s to say she didn’t feel like junk all day and just toughed it up to make herself feel better and, in the meantime, remind the most pregnant of pregnant women that it’s possible to forge ahead and be FABULOUS until the very end.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF AMBER ROSE ON THE RED CARPET?
