When I started this little experiment called TheFabMom about a year and half ago, I had no idea I’d be eating my words so frequently. This time, I have Chrysler to thank. I’ll let my little video break the ice for this one:
So why am I now agreeing to test drive a Chrysler Town & Country for a week (besides the leather interior smelling so nice)? Well, I’m just plain curious. I thought it’d be fun to use my journalism skills to test something central to the motherhood phenomenon (like, driving a MINIVAN) that I can report back to you about. I’m searching for the truth, I tell you! That, and I’m just plain tired lately. As a new mom of a toddler and an infant, I feel like I’m constantly hoisting things that are too heavy for me UP into our family SUV. Carseats. Strollers. Bags of clothes and toys. Children. Myself. I’m TIRED. Officially. When we bought our family SUV after the birth of my first baby almost 2 years ago, we thought we were such great parents. I didn’t realize how HIGH up from the ground an SUV actually is. (Sheesh, now you tell me.) Getting to drive something that’s a little lower to the ground and doesn’t require me to bear down and grunt every time I need to put something in the car (a VAN – gasp!) seemed like a welcome change when the nice people at Chrysler offered up their most loaded-up, award-winning family vehicle they’ve got these days. So, I’m going to try this van-thing out…
But I will warn you: I am wary of vans. Always have been. Are vans the end of your sexiness? Are vans the end of all-things-young-and-fun? Are vans the end of…. fabulousness?? I’ll find out this week. And like always, I promise to tell you my whole truth.
In the meantime, you can get to know the Chrysler Town & Country a bit more (on Facebook) or follow them like the stealth stalker you are on Twitter. And stay tuned here: More to come about how the Town & Country and I are getting along all this week…
DROP ME A COMMENT IF THERE’S ANYTHING SPECIFIC *YOU* WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY! I’M DOING THIS FOR YOU, PEOPLE…
Disclosure: TheFabMom was given a Town & Country by Chrysler to drive for one week for the purpose of this review. This post is part of a Chrysler sponsorship. All opinions and experiences are my own.
