Here’s a riddle for ya: What’s soft, comforting and much more fabulous than a ratty blankie being dragged all over the floor?
A luxe, faux fur coat. Credit LadyP for coming up with this one.
Has she been hanging out with mafia wives behind my back? (She has taken a new liking to salami and provolone sandwiches…)
We have now arrived at the ‘attachment’ phase in toddlerhood. I was lucky when it came to her pacifier…. she actually chucked the thing herself when she was about 3 months old (although she did find her thumb to take it’s place… oh well). I also feel like I’ve lucked out with the security-blankie issue too. No blankies for us. Just fabulous fur coats (and vests too).
We have pink fur, animal print fur, white fur, brown fur. She demands to wear her furs at breakfast. She demands to wear her furs around the house. She demands to wear her furs during nap time. She actually goes to her closet and points at her particular fur of preference for the moment. And yes, she does rotate. (A girl can’t be seen in the same coat all the time!)
Right now I giggle about it and appreciate that she consistently looks glamorous. But what am I going to do when it’s Spring? Quick! Someone find me a warm-weather accessory.
IS YOUR TODDLER ATTACHED TO ANYTHING FABULOUSLY OFFBEAT?

I have a little girl, but my son is the toddler and he loves to wear her rainbow leggings under his pants. I guess we are doing a good job on the whole gender equality thing 🙂
