Ah, yet another thing Canadians can brag about. I mean this in the SWEETEST of ways of course.
The Canadians I know are proud of their beautiful natural resources, the nice people that live there and the fact that they get months of maternity and paternity leave when duty calls (at least, those are the things I remember a Canadian friend bragging about to me).
Canadians can also claim making your toddler giggle with glee because they just heard their name sung in songs more than 80 times. A couple of Canadian moms came up with an idea to put your kid’s name into classic familiar kiddie songs. Sure, they’ve been doing it since 2003 (and have won several awards for it), but I’m just finding out about it now since I’m new at this mommy thing. I admit, it’s pretty cool. And sweet. And way too much fun.

As much as I love sappy things, I was a bit wary of this. Would the songs be cheesy? Would the singers be good? Would it drive me crazy every time I listened to it? Upon review: No. Yes. No. Call me a sucker for all things creatively fabulous. And call LadyP a sucker too (based on her dance moves when it’s playing). This is a great gift… for your own family or someone else’s.
Sure, it might temporarily contribute to your kid thinking that the world revolves around them… but how many times can they get away with something like that and still be so adorable?
