Fabulous often means putting fear aside and doing things yourself. Even if you don’t want to and are screaming nonstop while doing it… while your baby is sitting in her high chair squealing on the verge of tears because Mommy is freaking out over trying to safely kill a horrific black widow on the kitchen wall.
Yes. A real black widow. Not the fake Halloween kind that we put out for trick-or-treaters.
Bugs generally don’t scare me, but this one DID. I’d never seen a black widow in real life before, and this one was freakishly intimidating as a huge black crawly-thing complete with that creepy red marking on it’s belly just like the pictures on the internet (except mine also seemed to have fangs coming out of the front as if to say “I’m coming to get your baby, bitch.”) I’d have taken a picture for you, but it was too traumatic and I had no time to spare before the big kill.
Maybe LadyP and I could just hide out in the living room and hope that Ms. Widow didn’t move until Hubby came home to kill her? Wishful thinking. Time to call on my inner fabulousness.
Screaming, shaking and sweating (no joke) I ran in the other room to get my vacuum to suck this intruder to her death. DON’T BARGE INTO MY HOME – WITH MY BABY GIRL – AND NOT EXPECT CONSEQUENCES. She’s hopefully dead, but if she’s living you can now find her in my black machine with red markings.
I guess there’s always the chance that it wasn’t a black widow and I just freaked out thanks to my vivid imagination and need for a great story…. but fabulous people don’t take chances.
