OK, I barely even wanted a baby shower at all (but then again, my baby was an oopsie-daisy surprise, so it took me about 8 full months before I gave in to the fact that I was even having a baby at all).
Now that I’m a mom I’m realizing that baby showers are a good thing… and second baby showers are an even better thing. BUT WAIT! There’s a catch! A second (or third, or fourth) baby shower should NOT be about the baby… they should be about GIRL-TIME! A party is fun, but so is a lunch, virgin-cocktails or an afternoon of ice cream. And if one insists on bringing gifts, well, check out my shameless wish-list (they involve new robes and pretty things to help the mommy keep up appearances). (This is all, of course, hypothetical in the rare case that I find myself in a situation that would actually require second baby shower….)
