Making the 3-hour trip to visit Grandma has it’s perks for everybody… even YOU. 3 crazy-fun days with my wacky side of the family accounted for countless giggles from LadyP and memories that I’m already cherishing, but here are a few extra perks that I took advantage of:
Waking up at an hour (with LadyP already fed/happy) that I won’t be allowed to wake up at until I go back to Grandma’s.
Giving myself a leisurely manicure (a la my high school days) in my childhood bathroom (while LadyP plays with Auntie in the next room).
Enjoying several slices of the pizza I grew up on from the non-chain place with the juke box down the street (while LadyP sat on Grandpa’s lap).
