Ok ladies: If yours is out of sorts, pull yourself up by the boot straps and get it together. A frazzled laundry room is the source of a frazzled life. My ONLY mission yesterday was to get mine in order… or else. So, off to IKEA and Bed, Bath & Beyond baby and I went!
I should correct myself, I don’t so much have a laundry room, but rather a hallway-like entrance from our side-door where a stacked washer/dryer and sink happen to take residence. And since our move into our house a few weeks ago, it was a mess (along with many parts of the rest of the house). I knew that getting my laundry room organized would jumpstart me to attack the messes in the other rooms more readily.
A put-together laundry room is also the first step towards keeping your wits about you in your own home. Keep it tidy, and your brain will follow suit. If you like your laundry room, you will want to spend time there… inevitably leading to clean clothes and empty hampers. Having clean clothes makes you feel in control. Having cute storage boxes makes you feel comfortable. Having to put together the shelf (to stow your cute storage boxes) by yourself while your hubby is online in the other room makes you feel powerful. How do I know? I just lived it. What does your laundry room look like today?
