And I do mean it. No matter how many excuses you might create, there’s always time to do it, it’s not as unpleasant as you think, and you might even start to like it. Trust me, I know because I do it regularly.
Make an effort to suck in your tummy…. no matter where you are, sitting or standing. Work those little abs, new moms. I promise, they will bounce back as long as you don’t completely neglect them (I actually continued to tighten and suck in my tummy muscles on a daily basis while I was pregnant so that they didn’t think I forgot about them). As a new mommy, I get around to doing sit-ups here and there (usually in my underwear before I go to bed, as my husband teases me and makes snide comments from under the covers), but I suck in my stomach – for about 15 minutes at a time – DAILY to keep things consistent. It’s good for your muscles, it’s good for your back, it’s even good for your internal organs (lifting and separating them on the inside). I ‘suck it in’ every evening while washing LadyP’s bottles in the sink. No matter what happens during my day, I know that I will end up with this:
along with some (hopefully) kick-ass abs.
