Go, go, go, go, GO!!!! YESSS! Done. How to get the day-to-day things DONE? This fab-tip is all about something my own Mom taught me loooooooong ago: MOVE FAST.
Thanks to her productive brainwashing in my young life, I now work fast, walk fast, talk fast… and generally get most everything done that I need to in a given day because of this ‘filosophy’. As legend goes, my mom pushed my sister and I around in our strollers at about 100mph through stores when we were toddlers (while getting all sorts of dirty looks from more leisurely-paced moms). This perception of ‘life whizzing by’ apparently stuck with me. Now, I load my dishwasher as though someone is timing me and I’m competing for a gold medal. I clean my house as though it were on fire. I pick up and put away my strewn-about reject-outfits as though the Queen was at my front door waiting to come in for tea (and Gerard Butler was waiting with her). I tend to move as fast as I can in any given situation… to the point that I get a little winded. Seconds turn into minutes, minutes turn into hours, and before you know it you’ve got extra time in your schedule. (Have I mentioned that this tip also gives you a decent workout and seems to burn calories almost as well as hitting the treadmill? Anytime I can fit cardio in, people)
True, my sister was a lot better at ‘moving fast’ while growing up (and still is), but I’m pretty darn good myself. I proudly push my stroller at 100mph. Now excuse me… I have some spare time to waste.
