Even though he/she isn’t here yet, this baby has now officially made life more expensive. I was warned about this, but thought it’d just mean that money would be soon be spent on diapers rather than dinners out with my husband.
“They” should warn you that your entire non-baby budget will be affected by the birth of a little one!
In the past week (coinciding with Baby’s due-date) I’ve received DOUBLE the amount of text messages on my phone than I do in 1-month’s time. “Any news?” “What’s happening?” “Let us know.” Fun messages from my friends that keep me excited about this whole thing. But, if you’re like me and have a limited texting plan (to save $$$), then you know the sinking feeling of paying for extra texts here and there when the monthly bill is due. This week, I’ve experienced my husband exclaiming “Ease up! Who’s texting you now?” every time my phone lets out a “bloop” indicating that I have yet another message from the universe of my wonderful friends. It’s quite funny, but paying my wireless service a whole bunch of extra money is NOT.
I propose that wireless services across the country grant expecting parents 1 full month of FREE unlimited texting/minutes in honor of their new addition.
To Baby: Try to get here soon.
Mommy and Daddy are tired of paying extra bills and having no baby to show for it.
