Basically, this is the book that I wanted to read when I was pregnant and petrified for the very first time. After having my first baby, randomly inventing all the wacky tips I write about in the book (like spending as much time in my underwear as possible post-birth, hanging a large mirror in my kitchen, opting out of breastfeeding and saying semi-controversial phrases to myself in that large mirror in my kitchen) I figured out the formula (pun intended) for bouncing back in mind, spirit and body months after baby.
I won’t lie: This book is a straight-shooter. Some of the chapter titles include “Mom Up,” “Tough Love with Yourself,” and “Fake It? Make It!” FAB does really equal ‘focused after babies.’ Because, millions of women have had babies before us. Tapping into our own resilience and confidence is the only way to fabulous.
It was only when I did it all a second time just 16 months after the first time (yes, my daughters are 16 months apart) when I realized I was on to something. What I was doing was making myself feel confident, organized and motivated through the mud of tough choices and questions that first year with a new baby.
Here’s the ‘official’ info (in awkward third person)…
